A question of credibility

Take a gander at today's news headlines in the Star online:

PM: Anwar has no reason to fear.
Yeah, right. You believe this guy?

Syed Hamid: Police probe will be fair.
Yeah double bloody right. The IGP himself now has a police report lodged against him!

Rosmah: I am only a politician's wife.
But in the same breath she says she had other bigger things to attend to for the people and for the nation ... Eh?

Dr M: I am not surprised by sodomy allegation.
Why should you ... You showed 'em the way!

Now you will understand why I cant stand politicians. Or their wives.

  1. Dear Sir,

I can't too. Their ways are sickening and I shall have nothing to do with them.

But they run the country ... damn.

It's better to be an adventurer! Then the world is ours ... and the politicians' squabbling will seem petty, and ridiculous.

  2. Captain,
I think you may have got it wrong about Syed Hamid and the fair police probe. He may be referring to some probe of a bodily nature! Ha ha ha!

  3. Captain,

I really enjoy reading your site. Intelligent and wisened up reviews.

Unfortunately many of us citizens cannot say the same for our great politicians.

Mind you Captain, when the world is preoccupied with global problems of fuel, food and weather challenges, we in Malaysia are preoccupied with who rammed whose backside. And we have the men in blue running around helter skelter as if a tsunami has struck the shores.

I don't mean to corrupt your site Captain with such profane meanings, but come to think of it the political battles and developments are even worse.

Aiyo-yoooh! What is coming of Malaysia? Is this how we will arrive at 2020.

  4. Even the sabah MP seeks to know why supplementary budget is needed when no visible major projects are being carried out? He should ask all the characters you have mentioned! they will be able to show where all the monies have gone to. No wonder, they will never talk about all the major commissions! there is only ONE OPTION for all malaysians! let bring in the PR!! NOW!!

  5. Dear Sir,
    One of my favourite sites!
You write wonderfully well, the product of an education system now sadly defunct. It's great that old school can meet latter-day technology in the form of a blog!
    Kind regards.

  6. Dear Captain,

Not all politicians' wives are despicable, Dr Mahathir may be a bad guy , but his wife Dr Siti Hasmah is certainly a kind and graceful lady.

  7. Hello Capt,

Is it not the nature of the beast? That the politician needs to be the way he is in order to succeed? He has his supporters, and when in power needs to 'support' them, no?

But... there's always a but, no? I come back here to see your take on what's what with our who's who in politics. I generally can't understand this cat-and-mouse game they play, so it's nice to read your take on things: helps me feel I'm in-the-know, wink, wink....

And what do we make of DSAI's press conference today? Another ball thrown into the air for everyone to juggle.

    Cheers.

can't agree more, but coming back to the question I asked you the other day......I am hoping that it does not fall flat on our face where the4 'bugger' is concerned...
My take is they are all guilty!
And we should look at some brand new party with true blood Malaysians to take us to a new level....

  11. What did Najib say on Monday at Parliament? That he "has never met, seen, talked to or come across Saiful." Well, what did Najib say today while sweating?

    DPM admits meeting sodomy complainant.

    Beh Lih Yi | Jul 3, 08 9:49pm
In a new twist, Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today admitted that he met Saiful Bukhari Azlan a few days before the latter lodged a police report against Anwar Ibrahim for alleged sodomy.

    http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85547

"Malaysia's deputy prime minister said on Thursday the man who has accused opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim of sodomy had turned to him for help because he was in a trauma.

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak's surprise remarks came days after Anwar rejected the allegation as a top-level conspiracy to prevent him from standing for parliament and stymie his drive to woo defectors from the ruling coalition.

Police are investigating Anwar, 60, for allegedly sodomising his 23-year-old aide. A similar charge a decade ago landed the former finance minister in jail for six years before the nation's highest court overturned that conviction in 2004.

Najib said Anwar's accuser, Saiful Bukhari Azlan, went to his house a few days before lodging the police report on Saturday.

"There is no conspiracy. The boy came to my house to complain to me that he was sodomised by Anwar. Initially I was skeptical. He needed help because he was so traumatized," Najib told reporters.

"It was up to him and the police to decide on the next course of action."

"Najib denied links with Saiful but today admitted that he has met Saiful at his house few days ago..."

The DPM denied that he has met, dined, ate or talked to Saiful, but today while sweating he has admitted that he has been meeting him recently. Well, you don't need to wait longer for him to self destruct before his competitors come for him.

  12. PM: Anwar has no reason to fear.
Betul, kenapa takut sangat kalau tidak melakukan dan punya alibi yang kuat, malah anuar belum pun tahu apa sebenarnya yang dilaporkan oleh Saiful. Pemimpin tidak patut ada panik dan kalut.

Syed Hamid: Police probe will be fair.
Satu laporan kepada IGP daripada individu yang terdesak seperti anuar sudah tentu tidak mengilangkan kredibili IGP dan institusi polis keseluruhannya. Belum dibuktikan bersalah pun..jangan 'double standard'

    Rosmah: I am only a politician's wife.
Tahniah kepada Rosmah, walaupun sekadar mengiring TPM ke hulu ke hilir, sudah digeruni musuh. Apalah hebatnya lelaki kalau dengan perempuan pun di ajak bergaduh.

Dr M: I am not surprised by sodomy allegation.
Dr.M, biarkan mereka bergelut sesama mereka, sama sama nak tunjuk pandai, lantak dia orang le..
